Sealis is a voice paraphraser: you give it writing samples and drafts, and it rewrites text in your voice. This page explains what we collect, why, and how you can control it.
What we collect
When you create an account, we store your email address and password (hashed, via Supabase Auth — we never see or store your password in plain text). When you use Sealis, we store the writing samples you paste, the drafts you submit for rewriting, the rewrites Sealis generates, your edits to them, and the style rules Sealis derives from your corrections. All of it is scoped to your account.
How we use it
Your samples, drafts, and corrections are used only to generate rewrites for you and to learn the style rules that improve future rewrites. We never use it to train a model of our own, and it is never shown to other users. See the note on Google below for how our AI provider handles it.
Who processes it
We use a small number of service providers to run Sealis:
Supabase — authentication and database storage.
Google (Gemini API) — generates the rewrite itself. The text you submit for rewriting, and the writing samples used to match your voice, are sent to Gemini to produce the output. Sealis currently uses Gemini's free tier, under which Google may use submitted content and responses to improve its products and models, and trained human reviewers may read it. If you are in the European Economic Area, Switzerland or the United Kingdom, Google applies its paid-tier terms instead and does not use your content this way. Avoid pasting anything highly sensitive or confidential.
Vercel — hosts the application.
We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with anyone else.
Cookies
Sealis sets one httpOnly session cookie to keep you signed in. We don't use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
Your controls
From inside the app, you can export everything Sealis has stored for you as a JSON file at any time, and you can permanently delete all of your saved samples, history, and learned rules with one action. Deleting your account data removes it from our database; it isn't recoverable afterward.

Sealis is in beta and this policy may change as the product does. We'll update the date at the top when it does.
